Description

American Traveler is seeking a Neonatal Registered Respiratory Therapist with RRT and NRP credentials for a Level 4 NICU assignment.

Details

  • Work in a Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with 109 beds
  • Care for neonatal patients requiring advanced respiratory support
  • Utilizes equipment including Servo N, Bunnell Jet Ventilator, 3100A Oscillator, Bubble CPAP, and Optiflow
  • Shift hours from 07:00 to 19:30
  • Every 3rd weekend commitment
  • 13-week assignment length

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, Associate's degree, or Technical degree required
  • RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or Respiratory Care Practitioner credential from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required within 30 days of start
  • NRP certification from AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics required
  • ACLS, NRP Advanced, and PALS preferred
  • License required if applicable
  • Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to assignment start
  • Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Additional Information

  • Assess patients and develop respiratory care plans based on diagnosis
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans and respiratory equipment
  • Perform advanced respiratory care modalities and evaluate treatment outcomes
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory health conditions and available support resources
  • Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes
  • Caribbean Blue scrub color required
  • Accepts local candidates at a reduced rate under facility radius rule
  • First-time travelers may be considered
