Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Nephrology Telemetry night shift position requiring an MO or compact RN license and 1-2 years of experience.

Details

• Nephrology Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Every other weekend required, either Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on rotation
• No on-call requirement
• Floating required within scope and service line to meet facility needs
• Peritoneal dialysis experience required
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required (compact license must match permanent residence)
• 1-2 years of RN experience preferred
• Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; NURSYS preferred
• Cardiac telemetry skills including cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Facial hair must allow for proper respirator fit testing or must be shaved

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for nephrology telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Navy scrub color required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
• Standard travelers must reside outside a 75-mile radius and may stay up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break in service
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
