Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Telemetry position on nephrology telemetry nights, requiring 1-2 years of experience and a MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Nephrology Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Every other weekend required (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday rotation)
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within service line required
• Uses EPIC charting system
• Performs peritoneal dialysis

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required (no issuance if tied to another compact state)
• 1-2 years of RN experience preferred
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• NURSYS verification preferred
• Cardiac telemetry skills including cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care within a cardiac telemetry setting, including monitoring and responding to dysrhythmias
• Navy scrub color required
• No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
• Standard travelers may stay for an 18-month period followed by a required 3-month break in service
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
• 18 months tenure with a 3-month break in service required for returning travelers
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Contract length is firm at 13 weeks
