Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU travel assignment in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and AHA-certified credentials including ACLS and NIHSS.

Details

• Neuro ICU unit within an academic medical center hospital setting
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:1–2
• Day/Night rotating schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• Day/Night rotation occurs every 4 weeks, based on unit needs — final schedule confirmed by the manager during interview
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Epic EMR used

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
• Proficiency with IV starts, telemetry monitoring, mechanical ventilators, and intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring required
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference — no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as traveling candidates
• Former employees of this facility are eligible to apply after a 6-month separation period
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly upon accepting an offer — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to complete urgently
