Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Medical ICU nurse or critical care RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic EMR documentation experience required
• Strong skills in IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience caring for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Ability to manage complex ICU diagnoses and rapidly changing patient conditions
• Comfort working a rotating day/night schedule in a fast-paced adult ICU
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the MICU
• Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes using strong clinical judgment
• Manage ventilators, telemetry, continuous IV sedation, and dysrhythmias
• Support patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, renal failure, liver failure, post-cardiac arrest care, and other complex ICU conditions
• Document assessments, interventions, and care plans accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care
• Float to other units within the organization as needed
• Maintain a patient-centered approach while thriving in a high-acuity critical care environment
