Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Neuro ICU – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: November 3, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), 36 hours per week. 2:1 patient ratio. Weekend coverage required (approximately half of contract weekends). Float to ICU/IMC/Tele as needed.

Highlights:

• 91-day travel assignment in a dedicated Neuro ICU with 16 beds and daily census of 14 patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Work with advanced neurological conditions including traumatic brain injury, CVA/acute stroke, post-craniotomy, and spinal cord injury patients
• Gain experience with specialized equipment and protocols including EVDs, ICP monitoring, hypothermia protocol, and lumbar drains
• Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
• One pre-approved time off period available during contract

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license must be in hand at time of application)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with neuro ICU experience required
• Travel nursing experience required; community hospital and trauma level I or II experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 2:1 patient ratios in critical care settings
• Proficiency in blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and neurological assessments
• Must complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Geographic restrictions apply; candidates residing in certain local counties are not eligible
