Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Neuro ICU – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: November 3, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage required (approximately half of weekends per contract). Patient ratio of 2:1. Float to ICU/IMC/Tele units as needed.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a 16-bed Neuro ICU with daily census of 14 patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Work with advanced neuro patient populations including CVA/stroke, traumatic brain injury, post-craniotomy, and spinal cord injury
• Utilize Epic charting system in a trauma-focused environment
• Orientation provided with modules completed onsite
• One pre-approved time off period available

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact) required at time of submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with neuro ICU experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with 2:1 patient ratios and Epic charting system required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred; community hospital experience preferred
• Skills required: blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, CVA/stroke management, external ventricular drains, ICP monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, lumbar drains, hypothermia protocol, post-neurosurgery management, spinal cord injury care, and traumatic brain injury management
• Must reside outside of the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
• Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
