Travel ICU Registered Nurse – Neuro Critical Care Unit in Dallas, TX

• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Shift Pattern: 3 shifts per week
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Floating: May be required within ICU
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: May be required

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 2 years of recent ICU or neuro critical care experience
• Previous experience in a Trauma Level I environment
• Epic charting experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Comfort working with mixed-acuity ICU, PCU, and medical-surgical overflow patients
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to perform in a high-acuity setting

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care for patients with neuro trauma, stroke, aneurysm, seizures, brain tumors, and spinal conditions
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients using advanced neuro and ICU interventions
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips, vasoactive medications, sedation, and paralytics as ordered
• Support patients requiring ventilator management, CRRT, EVDs, ICP monitoring, and arterial line care
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and other support departments
• Perform comprehensive assessments, document accurately in Epic, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Maintain a safe, compassionate, and highly attentive care environment for every patient assignment
