Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of experience in a dedicated Neuro ICU or specialty critical care setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Strong competency in hourly neurological assessments
• Ability to work in a high-acuity critical care environment
• Experience managing complex neuro and surgical ICU patients preferred
• First-time travelers may be considered if experience requirements are met

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert bedside care for adult neuro and neurosurgical ICU patients
• Perform frequent neurological assessments and monitor for changes in condition
• Manage patients with intracranial pressure monitoring, EVDs, lumbar drains, and related neurosurgical equipment
• Support care for stroke, traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and post-craniotomy patients
• Monitor and titrate vasoactive, sedation, and cardiac drips as clinically indicated
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support safe, coordinated patient care
• Respond quickly and effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity Neuro ICU environment
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit-specific clinical protocols
• Participate in weekend coverage and rotational scheduling as needed
