This 18-bed Neuro ICU is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to care for adult patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Schedule: Every other weekend and some holidays
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Orientation: 20 hours

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Wisconsin or a compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care inpatient RN experience in the specialty within the last 3 years
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Basic arrhythmia experience required
• Experience with ICP monitoring or ventriculostomy care required
• Ability to successfully pass a telemetry exam prior to start
• Strong critical thinking skills and comfort working in a high-acuity ICU environment

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients with neurological and neurosurgical conditions
• Monitor and manage patients with stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and post-operative neurosurgical needs
• Support advanced ICU interventions, including arterial line management, EVD and lumbar drain care, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and titration of sedation and vasoactive infusions
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
• Float as needed and adapt to changing unit needs while maintaining excellent clinical standards
• Promote infection prevention, patient safety, and timely response to changes in patient condition
