Job Requirements

  • Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, with recent acute care experience preferred
  • Medical, surgical, and trauma ICU experience required
  • Experience with Epic charting required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
  • Ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start
  • Comfort working in a high-acuity, fast-paced critical care environment
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in a trauma-focused ICU
  • Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced life support therapies
  • Support care for patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, post-operative needs, trauma, and multisystem complications
  • Perform and assist with critical care interventions, including ventilator management, titration of vasoactive drips, and arterial line monitoring
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and other support services
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
  • Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and escalate care appropriately
  • Float as needed within the facility based on unit needs
