Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU Neuro) specialty position located in a healthcare facility. This role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients requiring specialized neuro critical care, including management of neuro checks, ventilator management, and cerebral monitoring. The position is scheduled for days, with shift hours of 12 and a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Job Details:
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 10/05/2026 and ending 01/04/2027.
Required Qualifications: Valid CA Registered Nurse (RN) license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications, at least 2 years of neuro ICU experience, proficiency with Epic charting system, and neuro-specific skills such as neuro checks, ICP monitoring, and ventilator management.
Preferred Qualifications: Certification in trauma nursing (TNCC), experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers, and additional community hospital experience.
Float: May float to Emergency Department, Step Down Unit, or Central Monitoring Department.
Additional Information: The position involves caring for patients with complex neurological conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and post-surgical neuro patients. Candidates must demonstrate experience with advanced neuro monitoring equipment and protocols.
