ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join our team in a fast-paced Neuro Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and play a vital role in supporting patients with neurological conditions.
Deliver patient care in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines.
Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, providing critical care interventions as necessary.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Administer medications and procedures as directed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Be prepared to float to sister facilities when required.
Qualifications
Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neuro ICU is preferred.
Strong understanding of EKG interpretation, ventilator management, and critical care protocols.
Work Schedule
Shift Length: 12 hours
Shift: Nights
Every other weekend required
Holidays rotated with core staff
Additional Information
Orientation includes 1-2 days on the floor with a preceptor.
Self-scheduling is available, with schedules released 4 weeks in advance.
Opportunities for overtime and extra shifts may be available.
Scrub Color: Navy; under shirts must be navy, white, or black; scrub jackets optional in navy.
Located in a state-of-the-art unit with a strong Stroke Program and Neuro Center.
