Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU NEURO) position located in a high-acuity neuro ICU. This role involves providing specialized care for neuro patients requiring advanced monitoring, therapeutic interventions, and management of complex neurological conditions. The position supports a dynamic team dedicated to delivering comprehensive patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse (RN) license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, 2 years of ICU Neuro experience, CA RN license in hand.
• Preferred Qualifications: Neuro ICU experience, Trauma ICU experience, NIHSS certification.
• Float: Float rotation may be required during the assignment.
• Additional Information:
  • Start date: 10/06/2026
  • End date: 01/05/2027
  • No travel experience required but will be considered.
  • Must have completed necessary modules, which are non-billable and vary in length depending on unit/specialty.
  • Orientation hours: 12
  • RTO requests are disclosed at submission and require manager approval; requests cannot be accommodated within the first two weeks of start.
  • Must provide employment history with any employment at a University of California medical facility, including dates worked, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility.
  • Travel pairs are allowed but generally not on the same unit; married couples may not work on the same unit.
  • Resources may be reassigned within a 75+ mile radius to different departments or facilities as needed.
