Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring an active MA license and prior Level 1 Neuro ICU experience.

Details

• 18-bed combined Neuro Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Cares for patients recovering from acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, neurointerventional radiology procedures, and neurosurgical interventions
• Collaborates with neurosurgeons, neurointensivists, advanced practice providers, and rehabilitation specialists
• 12-hour rotating day/night shifts in 4-week blocks, 36 hours per week
• Schedule may rotate every other 4-week block or as needed
• No floating or charge nurse responsibilities required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Neuro ICU experience required
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required

• Provides advanced monitoring and evidence-based care for critically ill neuroscience patients using state-of-the-art technology
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Must pass Tele/ECG and medication competency testing
• Required vaccinations include COVID-19 (with booster) and flu, with medical exemptions allowed
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius, as local candidates are not accepted
• Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility
