Job Details:
**Required Experience and Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a neuro setting. - Neuro experience required. - Trauma Level I experience is required. - Must have skills in Neuro Intensive Care: BiPAP/CPAP management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Continuous IV sedation, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drain (EVD), High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), ICP monitoring, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Phlebotomy, Post Neurosurgery Management, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Spinal cord injury, Starting and maintaining IVs, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Titrate Cardiac drips, Traumatic Brain injury, Ventilator Management. **Certifications Required:** - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) - NIH (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) **Certifications Preferred:** - TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) - 10 hours of stroke education **Clinical and Other Skills:** - Experience with charting system EPIC is preferred. - Familiarity with special procedures and equipment: Vasoactive medications, Central line/Arterial line management, ICP monitoring, CRRT, hypothermia/hyperthermia management, spinal precautions, EVD, bolt. **Additional Requirements:** - Must pass Relias EKG exam and demonstrate the ability to interpret/manage dysrhythmias. - Must complete 10 hours of stroke education, with NIHSS satisfying 3 hours if taken in the year. - Certification modules are billable up to 16 hours at $20/hr, required for RNs and LVS, completed through WorkRamp. - Modules must be started within 1 week of a signed contract and completed 2 Fridays prior to the start date to avoid delays. **Licensure:** - Pending license accepted, with specific requirements for MO and IL licenses based on submission and residency. **Other Details:** - Guaranteed hours and patient ratio 1:2. - Open to first-time applicants. - No local candidates within a 75-mile radius. - Must comply with COVID and Flu vaccine requirements.
