Assignment Overview
Join our Neuro MedSurg Acute unit as a Registered Nurse for a dynamic and challenging assignment. The ideal candidate will possess prior neuro unit experience and have worked in a level 1 trauma center. This position is perfect for an experienced traveler ready to tackle a variety of neurological cases.

Number of Beds: 54 beds (2 semi private)
Nurse: Patient Ratios: Day 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6
Floating Requirements: Float in rotation with rest of staff
Manage a variety of neurological cases including stroke, spine surgery, and brain injuries
Titrate Heparin drips based on PTT
Collaborate with a 24/7 charge nurse and house supervisor
Utilize RT Equipment such as High Flow for stable COVID cases
Maintain coverage of monitoring equipment with support from house-wide telemetry
Complete a 2-day unit-specific orientation with an educator and preceptor
Qualifications
Required:
Active IL license or confirmation of application process
BLS and NIHSS certifications
Level 1 trauma experience
Previous travel experience
Prior dedicated neuro unit experience
Heparin drip experience
