Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Neuro Med Surg night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and NIHSS certification.

Details

• Neuro Med Surg unit on night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Every other weekend required, either Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on rotation
• No on-call requirements
• May float within scope to any unit except ICU, SDU, and ED
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required (compact must match permanent residence)
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Fire Safety certification preferred
• 2+ years of experience preferred
• Skills in neurological/psychiatric care, CVA, cardiac monitoring, telemetry (unit and remote preferred), PICC line management, and IV therapy/phlebotomy
• Must be able to pass facial fit testing for respirators; facial hair must allow for proper fit or be shaved

Additional Information

• Care for neurological med/surg patients including stroke (CVA) and total joint replacement cases
• Navy scrub color required
• No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO during the first week
• Standard travelers residing outside a 75-mile radius may work up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break in service
• Former permanent employees of BJC or Saint Luke's facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
