Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Telemetry – Spokane, WA 99204

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Spokane, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Every other weekend required. 48-hour weeks approved. Patient ratio 1:5. Float between units as needed to meet staffing requirements.

Highlights:

• Work in a designated stroke unit at a 629-bed short-term acute care facility with Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center designations
• Heavy neurology focus with Thrombectomy Capable JCAHO designation, Spine Center of Excellence, and NAEC Level 3 Epilepsy Center
• Gain valuable experience caring for post-surgical neurology patients and various neurology diagnoses including CVA, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury
• Teaching hospital environment with Epic charting system and interdisciplinary support including interpretation services
• No parking fees; orientation provided (36-40 hours)
• 16-week assignment with potential for extension

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting system experience required
• Willingness to learn and work in a heavy neuro unit (no prior neuro experience required, but must be comfortable with NIH scale and caring for neurology patients)
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes, and procedural sedation
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
