Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with neurosurgery and Level 1 Trauma experience for a 13-week assignment requiring an active IL RN license.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• On-call requirement of one 8-hour shift per week when needed
• Potential to rotate to weekend coverage
• Cases include stereotactic neurosurgical procedures, neuro spine cases, and craniotomies with tumor resections

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required in hand
• BLS certification required
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• Neurosurgery nursing experience required
• Scrub experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred; over one year of experience waives instructor-led training requirement
• Nursys report required at time of consideration, pulled within the last 2 weeks
• Less than 2 years of experience will be considered

Additional Information

• Care for complex neurosurgical patients including craniotomy and neuro spine cases
• Completion of facility training modules required, averaging 8 hours, some specialties requiring 15-20 hours, completed remotely or during orientation and annually
• RTO limited to no more than 3 days and not permitted during the first or last week of the contract
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Former UChicago Medicine, PRN, or Ingalls permanent staff must have a 7-month break in service before returning as a traveler
• Any scheduling requests must be submitted prior to offer acceptance and discussed during the interview process
