Job Summary: The registered nurse specializing in neonatal care will provide dedicated patient care for newborns in a busy neonatal nursery located in El Paso, Texas. This position involves working night shifts within a facility that accommodates ten beds and various neonatal procedures. The role demands a compassionate and skilled healthcare professional committed to delivering exceptional neonatal services.
Job Details:
Location: El Paso, Texas
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 36 hours per week, with rotating weekends
Required Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse license
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
At least 1 year of neonatal or related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications such as STABLE are advantageous
Unit Information:
Number of beds: 10 beds, 1 procedure room, 2 operating rooms, 4 triage bays
Staffing: 9 staff members; 6 day shift RNs, 2 night shift RNs (including 1 contract and 1 orientee)
Patient ratios: 1:3 for general care, 1:1 for vapotherm-supported babies
Equipment includes panda warmers, cribs, all NRP equipment, and hospital-grade breastpumps
Unit policies and guidelines are available upon request
