Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Austin, Texas. This position involves providing specialized care in a Level 4 NICU environment, supporting fragile neonatal patients with complex medical needs. The selected candidate will work a 12-hour day shift schedule, contributing to a highly skilled and compassionate team dedicated to exceptional neonatal care.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, 2 years of NICU experience and Level 4 NICU expertise, and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Preferred Qualifications: Additional experience in neonatal procedures and fluency in electronic medical record systems such as Meditech and CPN
- Additional Information: The unit cares for approximately 65 beds with a staffing of over 200 personnel, including charge nurses, team leaders, and transport nurses. Equipment used includes ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, and breast pumps. The unit values teamwork and a positive attitude, emphasizing a collaborative environment. Dress code requires navy scrubs, and professionalism is maintained through adherence to unit policies.
