Job Summary:
The neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) Nursing Specialist position is based in Edmonds, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care to infants in a Level II NICU setting. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of managing high-risk deliveries and neonatal care procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: 2 years of NICU experience, valid BLS and NRP certifications, ability to attend high-risk deliveries, feeding (bottle, breast, gavage), neonatal dosage calculations, and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, community hospital experience, and Level II NICU knowledge.
  • Additional Information: All candidates must have current references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years. Modules include non-billable training averaging 16 hours, completed pre-start and annually, with completion recorded in Workramp transcripts. NICU travel nurses are not expected to care for mother-baby couplets unless they possess the specific skills and competencies.
