Job Summary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse Location: FLORIDA NORTHWEST. This role involves providing specialized care for critically ill newborns in a well-equipped Level 3 NICU. The position requires delivering expert neonatal nursing care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.
Job Details
Position Description: The NICU serves as a 24-hour Level 3 unit for infants born at less than 32 weeks gestation and those with critical illnesses, offering a full range of pediatric subspecialty services.
Required Qualifications: All candidates must have Level III NICU experience, BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and STABLE certification.
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: The unit features 18 beds with patient ratios of 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1, and utilizes advanced equipment including heart monitors, ventilators, and central lines. Candidates should demonstrate strong critical thinking, emotional stability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a high-paced environment. CCS, RNC-LRN, C-NPT, C-EFM certifications are preferred.
