Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse position in Highland Park, Illinois. The role involves providing care to infants in an Intermediate Care Nursery (Level 2) setting, with a focus on babies gestational age of 32 weeks and greater. The position requires delivering high-quality neonatal care during night shifts, ensuring patient safety and compliance with facility standards.

Job Details:

  • Position Type: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse
  • Location: Highland Park, Illinois
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours (from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), requiring a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Start Date: 08/16/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), 2+ years of solid core NICU experience in a Level 2 nursery or Intermediate Special Care Unit (ISCU), and experience working with infants gestational age of 32 weeks and greater
  • Preferred Qualifications: Comfortable in postpartum care settings and providing services in a nursery environment, with ability to float to NICU units at affiliated hospitals as needed
  • Schedule Details: Every other weekend (Friday and Saturday night), with potential to float to affiliated NICU units at other nearby facilities
  • Notes: Providing care using electronic charting systems, adhering to facility policies and protocols; orientation includes 16 non-billable hours
