Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, NICU – Albuquerque, NM 87109

Start Date: August 17, 2026

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 13-week assignment. Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 6-week period. Patient ratios vary from 1:1 to 1:4 based on acuity.

Highlights:

  • Level II/III NICU experience with diverse neonatal patient population
  • Work with advanced equipment including high frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • 24-36 hours of orientation provided
  • Maximum of 4 days of pre-approved time off available

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact license accepted; must be obtained prior to start date)
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU nursing experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required; STABLE certification preferred
  • Experience with neonatal care including premature infants (29-34+ weeks), respiratory distress, and specialized interventions
  • Proficiency in ventilator management, IV therapy, central line care, and neonatal dosage calculations
  • Willingness to float to similar units as needed
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
