Job Summary: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a short-term acute care facility. This role involves providing specialized care for neonatal patients, including managing ventilators, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs within a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. The position requires flexibility to float among units, with a schedule rotating around overnight shifts.
Job Details:
Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 10/19/2026 to 01/18/2027
Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience; certifications in BLS and NRP; valid state license (compact license accepted); at least 1 year of clinical experience; minimum of 0 years of experience for this role.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a neonatal intensive care setting, experience with Epic charting system, and patient ratio experience with 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 ratios.
Special Requirements: Candidates must be comfortable floating between units, primarily caring for patients under age 2, including neonates. Candidates should be able to manage complex neonatal procedures and support families.
Additional Information: The role requires working during variable weekends, with a commitment to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Orientation involves 24 hours of training. Candidates must demonstrate eligibility to accept a 36-hour minimum weekly schedule.
