Job Summary: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a healthcare facility located in Dulles, Virginia. This role involves providing specialized care in a Level II NICU for neonates 32 weeks and above. The position requires a dedicated professional with at least two years of NICU experience and active licensure, working primarily during night shifts.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Active Compact License, minimum of 2 years NICU experience at Level 2 or greater, BLS certification, NRP certification, and current nursing license.
Preferred Qualifications: STABLE certification and Neonatal Nursing Certification within specialty.
Unit Information: Located on the 2nd floor of a healthcare facility, with 5 beds (expandable to 6), staffed by 2 RNs during open hours. The unit handles IV antibiotics, dextrose infusions, TPN/lipids, PO/NG feeds, umbilical line maintenance, oxygen support, nasal CPAP, surfactant administration, and delivery attendance.
Additional Information: The unit emphasizes family-centered care and values professionals with strong effort and positive attitudes. Staff may attend deliveries, with some coverage for postpartum well newborn care and delivery attendance during designated on-call hours.
