Job Summary: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) located in Apple Valley, California. This position involves providing specialized care for critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU setting. The role offers a weekend block schedule with shifts beginning as soon as possible and requires adherence to specific unit protocols and procedures.
Job Details:
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, at least 36 hours per week, starting from 08/25/2026
Required Qualifications: Valid California RN license, at least 2 years of clinical experience with a minimum of 1 year in neonatal intensive care, current certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic charting using Epic, previous work in a community hospital or Level III NICU setting, and familiarity with advanced neonatal procedures such as central line management, intubations, and ventilator management
Float: Float to other neonatal units may be required, specifically to mother-baby units if necessary
Additional Information: Candidates must be able to work a weekend every other week which may occasionally exceed to meet unit staffing needs. RTO requests must be included at submission; no outside employment scheduling requests will be considered. Candidates should be prepared to work 3 of the 5 major holidays.
Submittal Requirements: Must include two recent references covering at least one year within the last three years and responses to questions regarding prior experience at a healthcare facility in a similar capacity.
