Job Summary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) The organization is seeking a qualified NICU RN to provide specialized care for neonatal patients within a Level II trauma center setting. This role involves floating between units and delivering patient-centered care to infants under the age of 2, with a focus on safety, clinical excellence, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Job Details
Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Units.
Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Administering blood and blood products, managing arterial lines and ventilators, providing respiratory support including high flow nasal cannula and mechanical ventilation, neonatal sepsis management, and family teaching.
Additional Information: Candidates will float across units, primarily caring for infants under 2 years old. Orientation lasts approximately 24 hours. Compliance with client requirements for references and prior experience at a Providence facility is necessary.
Certifications: Must hold current BLS and NRP certifications.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic charting systems such as Epic, and previous exposure to NICU procedures and equipment.
