Job Summary:

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nurse in Nashville, Tennessee. This position involves providing specialized care to neonates within Level 2 neonatal intensive care settings under the Womens Services Department. The successful candidate must be cross-trained in Postpartum and Mother Baby care, capable of floating within scope of practice, and prepared to comply with all required certifications before start.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training or Management of Aggressive Behavior (MAB); NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); compliance clearance required 10 days prior to orientation; ability to float within scope of practice; cross-training in Postpartum and Mother Baby care; at least 0 years of experience.

  • Additional Information: The healthcare provider is able to cancel one shift every four weeks during the contract. Floating is required within the candidate's scope of practice. Charge or preceptor duties may be assigned and reflected on the health care professional's timesheet.
