The role requires delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on complex neonatal conditions and procedures.
Job Details
Position: RN - NICU I in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the healthcare provider.
Certifications and Education Requirements: BLS, NRP, and at least 1 year of RN experience in a neonatal or critical care setting.
Schedule: Night shifts from 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 36 hours per week, with shifts occurring every other weekend and holidays as needed.
Duration: Start date is September 7, 2026, with an assignment ending on December 6, 2026.
Responsibilities include caring for preterm infants, neurological, cardiac, respiratory, renal, GI issues, and performing special procedures such as bedside surgeries including PDA ligation, chest tubes, and Penrose drains.
Patient ratio is typically 1:2 or 1:3, with occasional floating to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
Patient delivery system involves primary nursing, and charting is completed via Cerner electronic health record system.
Requires a two to three shift orientation period.
