Job Summary: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse in a healthcare facility. This position involves caring for unstable newborns of 32 weeks gestation and greater, including attending all deliveries and high-risk deliveries. The role requires providing specialized neonatal care and support within a Level II NICU setting.
Job Details:
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), current BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications, valid state license (compact license accepted), and experience with Neonates 29-34 weeks gestation.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with breastfeeding support/handling of breast milk, isolation precautions/PPE, central line/implanted line care, UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter), UVC (Umbilical Venous Catheter), IV vasopressors, surfactants, steroids, neonatal abstinence syndrome, Bubble Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), and oxygen delivery systems.
Float: Float rotation may be required to postpartum and labor & delivery units.
Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared to work during holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. All scheduling requests and time off must be specified during application. Candidates may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities if needed. References covering at least six months within the last three years are required.
