Job Summary: Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the Women's & Infants Hospital. This position involves providing high-quality care to neonates, including ventilated and high-acuity patients, within a Level III NICU setting. The role requires compliance with clinical and certification standards and availability for evening and weekend shifts on a schedule of three 12-hour nights per week.
Job Details:
Schedule: Weeknights and weekends, 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts. Flex position; shifts predominantly nights.
Required Qualifications: Active RN license (or compact, if applicable to Rhode Island), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience for at least 2 years in a Level III NICU, and recent neonatal high-acuity or ventilated neonate experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, STABLE certification (if required by the unit).
Additional Information: Candidates without time off requests will be preferred. Certification requirements also include Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). The assignment begins on 11/02/2026 and concludes on 01/02/2027, with no extension available. Some holidays are required, including Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day. The job entails adherence to hospital policies, SOPs, and clinical protocols specific to NICU care.
