Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Three 12-hour shifts per week, rotating weekends and holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 108-bed NICU with patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4
• Manage care for neonatal patients including premature infants, utilizing equipment such as nasal cannula, bubble CPAP, ventilators, oscillators, IV pumps, NIRS, warmers, and isolettes
• Perform and assist with unit procedures including central line management, respiratory management up to and including intubated patients, and care of trach infants
• Document patient care using CPN and Meditech electronic documentation systems
• Float to related units (PICU, Pediatrics, CICU) as needed per unit policy, caring for patients under 2 years of age
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and Nurse Externs

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of Level III NICU experience
• Experience with premature infants (28 weeks gestational age and above)
• Demonstrated competency in central line management and respiratory management including intubated patients
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with surgical neonatal patients including gastroschisis reductions, PDA ligations, and exploratory laparotomies
• Experience caring for infants under 27 weeks gestational age and trach-dependent infants
• Familiarity with Broviac catheter care and cardiac neonatal patient populations
