Description

American Traveler is hiring a Level III/IV NICU RN for a night shift travel position requiring NC or compact licensure and prior travel experience.

Details

  • Work in a Level III and/or Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00) with minimum requirement of every other weekend (Fri-Sat-Sun)
  • Option to flex to a 4th shift when needed or available, with overtime after 48 hours
  • Patient ratio ranges from 1:1 to 1:4
  • Uses Meditech EMR charting system
  • Blocked schedule requests will be considered
  • Locals accepted at the same bill rate

Requirements

  • Active NC State or Compact RN license required
  • Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and STABLE
  • PALS certification preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Experience with respiratory and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP) required
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Meditech charting experience preferred but not required
  • Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care to neonatal patients requiring Level III/IV NICU support
  • Facility does not allow current or past staff to return as a traveler at any time
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and submitted for consideration
  • Candidates must complete lab work within 72 hours of signing the contract
