NICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position, scheduled for 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, with the option to flex to a 4th shift if needed. The role requires working a minimum of every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and has the potential for overtime after 48 hours.

Job Description

We are seeking experienced NICU Registered Nurses to join our dedicated team in a Level III and/or Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in providing critical care for neonates and infants, displaying expertise in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The position involves comprehensive patient assessment, management, and the application of advanced nursing procedures to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level nursing care to neonates and infants in a NICU setting.
• Utilize skills in ventilator management and critical care techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and assess patients, documenting all care appropriately in the electronic medical record.
• Educate families regarding patient conditions, treatments, and ongoing care requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid NC State or Compact Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Two years of recent NICU experience preferred.
• Certifications required: BLS, NRP, and Stable.
• Experience with Meditech electronic medical records is preferred.
