  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

  • Charting System: Cerner

Job Requirements

  • Active RN license and eligibility to work in a neonatal specialty setting
  • NRP certification required
  • 1+ years of recent NICU experience required; 2+ years in a Level III or higher NICU preferred
  • Stable and NIC-RNC certification preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to thrive in a high-acuity pediatric nursing environment
  • Experience caring for neonates with varying acuity levels, including 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, and 1:4 assignments

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to NICU patients
  • Monitor and assess critically ill newborns and respond promptly to changes in condition
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to support individualized treatment plans
  • Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Support family-centered care and communicate clearly with parents and caregivers
  • Float as needed to pediatric, PICU, or mother-baby areas for babies only
  • Maintain a professional, team-oriented presence in a busy neonatal intensive care unit
