• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Shift Details: 3x12 nights with the option to flex to a 4th shift if needed or available

• Weekend Requirement: Minimum every other weekend (Friday-Saturday-Sunday)
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Unit Size: 20 beds

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
• North Carolina RN license or compact license required; pending licensure may be considered with a clear ETA
• Current BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• STABLE certification required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Meditech experience preferred
• Ability to care for neonates and infants in a high-acuity Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Must be comfortable with ventilator management, including AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to critically ill neonates and infants in a Level III/IV NICU
• Monitor patients closely and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Manage ventilator support and collaborate with respiratory therapy as needed
• Deliver safe, compassionate neonatal nursing care while maintaining strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including pharmacy, radiology, social services, interpretation services, and rapid response support
• Maintain accurate documentation and support smooth handoff communication between shifts
• Follow unit scheduling expectations, including weekend coverage and approved time-off guidelines
