Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for Neonatal ICU Nights, requiring 2+ years of NICU experience and MO or compact RN license, NRP and vent competency.

Details

• Nights shift, 3x12, 1900-0700
• 13-week assignment
• 46-bed NICU unit with a 1:3 patient ratio (acuity-based, not guaranteed)
• Patient population includes premature infants, infants of diabetic mothers, infants with respiratory distress, and post-date infants
• Every other weekend required per facility need
• No call requirements
• Float requirements include NICU, PICU, or Postpartum floor based on patient volumes
• EPIC EMR used
• Night shift nurses orient on day shift and must be available the full orientation week

Requirements

• Active RN license (Missouri or compact)
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• TNCC and PALS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required, vent competent preferred
• Prefer 2 years of experience in a Level 3 or higher NICU
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1-April 1, no declinations accepted

• Perform direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all age groups
• Coordinate care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
• Must maintain a flexible and positive attitude in a fast-paced NICU environment
• Dress code requires black scrubs, with optional Mercy Kids scrub top paired with black scrub pants
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted, though a 50-mile radius restriction applies to local contract eligibility and consecutive contract limits
