**Exciting Opportunity for RN in NICU!** **Job Description:** - **Location:** Frisco, TX - **Unit:** NICU (675) - **Classification:** RN - **Assignment Length:** 13 weeks - **Shift Details:** - 7A-7P - Weekend – Every other - Guaranteed Hours: 36 - **Patient Care:** - Number of Beds: 6 - Patient Ratios (Estimated): 3:1 - Minimum staffing of 2 NICU RNs per shift - 24/7 in-house Neonatal Nurse Practitioner coverage - 24/7 in-house OB hospitalist and anesthesiologist - **Equipment:** - GE Bedside Monitors - GE beds (Giraffe and Panda Warmers) - Natus Neoblue phototherapy lights - Neomed and Medfusion Feeding/Medication pumps - **Documentation System:** Meditech and CPN - **Scheduling Requirements:** 3 – 12 hour shifts - **Floating Policy:** As needed, to nursery **Certifications Required:** - Must have: - BLS - NRP - STABLE - 2+ Years of Hospital/Specialty Experience - **Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed:** - Experience with infants requiring CPAP or Ventilation - Experience with Central Lines - Stabilization experience/attending deliveries - Developmental care **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - Assist with Line Placement - Assist with Circumcision - Assist with Intubation **Patient Experience Required:** - Family-centered care **Dress Code:** - **Scrub Color:** - Royal Blue Medical City Healthcare Scrubs (Purchased from Scrubs and Beyond) - **Nail Policy:** Clean and Healthy, no nail polish, artificial nails, gel, next gen, etc. - **Hair:** Neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors.
