Start Date: August 25, 2026

Location: Apple Valley, California

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (06:00 - 18:30), Friday-Sunday weekend block schedule. Every other weekend required, may exceed to accommodate unit needs. Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

• Patient ratios staffed by acuity, up to 1:3 ratio

Requirements:

• Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year in NICU specialty
• Level III NICU experience required (hard requirement)
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP Advanced (or NRP with willingness to obtain Advanced before start date), PALS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 2-3 patients
• Proficiency in required skills including administration of blood products, high-risk delivery attendance, central line management, ventilator management, PICC line management, and titration of vasopressors
• 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years

You'll gain valuable experience managing complex neonatal cases including prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and hypoglycemia while working alongside interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services. All time-off requests must be submitted at time of application, and candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays during the contract period. May float to Mother/Baby unit for newborn care as needed.
