Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Spokane, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend coverage required on a variable schedule (typically every other weekend or as needed). Expected patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on acuity.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment at a 629-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital with Level II Trauma and Pediatric Trauma designations
• 61-bed NICU with daily census of 52 patients and comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system with 24-40 hours of orientation provided
• First-time travelers welcome; floating may be required to units caring for patients under age 2
• Free parking and collaborative team environment with advanced practice providers on the unit
• Ventilators managed by respiratory therapy team

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with patient ratios up to 1:3
• Proficiency in NICU skills including ventilator management, high-frequency ventilation, UAC/UVC management, administration of blood products, IV vasopressors, central line care, therapeutic hypothermia, and care of neonates 29+ weeks gestation
• Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
