Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a NICU position requiring a TX or compact RN license and NRP certification.

Details

  • Work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of an acute care hospital
  • 12-hour day shifts scheduled 7a-7p with every other weekend (EOW)
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • Uses EPIC EMR
  • 15-week assignment length
  • 12 hours of orientation provided

Requirements

  • Active TX or Compact (NLC) RN license currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS (AHA) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • COVID vaccine required
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration
  • Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility

Additional Information

  • Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients requiring intensive care
  • Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year
  • Candidates previously employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
  • Hospital may cancel shifts up to 4 times per 13-week contract (3 times if 12 weeks or less)
