Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN with Level II experience for a night shift assignment requiring an IN or compact RN license.

Details

• Level II NICU setting within a community hospital
• Typical patient ratio of 1:2, varying with acuity
• Neonatal patients ranging from 29 weeks to over 34 weeks gestation
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 3 weekend shifts required per contract
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within scope required as facility needs dictate
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skilled in neonatal dosage calculations, APGAR scoring, and thermoregulation
• Experience with respiratory support including Bubble CPAP, HFNC, and Vapotherm preferred
• Experience starting and maintaining IVs, UAC, and UVC
• Driver's license required for consideration
• No pending state licenses accepted

Additional Information

• Care for neonates including high-risk deliveries, respiratory distress, and neonatal sepsis cases
• Assist with procedures such as lumbar punctures and therapeutic hypothermia (cooling blanket)
• Support breastfeeding and manage feeding methods including bottle, breast, and gavage
• Experience with postpartum stable couplet care and Mother/Baby is a plus but not required
• Scrubs provided by the unit
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
