Start Date: August 25, 2026

Location: Apple Valley, California

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (06:00 - 18:30), every other weekend (may exceed to meet unit needs). 26-week assignment with option for extension. Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2-week period.

Highlights:

• Level III NICU with 14 beds serving approximately 190 births per month
• Acute care hospital with 212 staffed beds utilizing Epic charting system
• Patient ratios staffed by acuity, up to 1:3; no on-call required
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
• Free parking and 36-40 hours of paid orientation
• Opportunity to care for diverse patient population including prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and feeders and growers

Requirements:

• Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in Level III NICU specialty (required, hard stop)
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP Advanced (or NRP with willingness to obtain Advanced before start), PALS
• Epic charting experience required
• Travel nursing experience required; community hospital experience required
• Proficiency in required skills including administration of blood products, arterial line management, high-risk delivery attendance, ventilator management, central line care, PICC line management, and IV vasopressor administration
• Experience with high-frequency ventilation, oscillators, CPAP/BIPAP, and ability to titrate Dopamine and Dobutamine
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
