Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/12/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This role involves caring for critically ill neonates using various advanced therapeutic modalities. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of NICU experience and will demonstrate a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to our patients. Unit Information Unit Size/Beds: 41 beds, including single, double, and triple rooms. Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:2 or 1:1, with potential for higher ratios in low acuity cases. Cases Managed: Comprehensive NICU care, excluding surgical and cardiac cases. Shift Information Shift: Night shift from 19:00 to 07:30. Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours. Responsibilities Provide high-quality care to sick neonates. Utilize various respiratory support methods, including conventional and high-frequency ventilators, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and nitric oxide. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Adapt to potential float assignments in the Well Baby Nursery as needed. Qualifications Minimum of two years of experience in a NICU setting. Current certifications in NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and BLS (Basic Life Support). Proven ability to care for critically ill neonates with compassion and skill. Additional Information Weekend Requirements: Preferred but not mandatory. Holiday Requirements: Not required.
