Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Level IV NICU experience
  • BSN required
  • Active Registered Nurse license preferred at time of submission
  • BLS and NRP required
  • ACLS required
  • PALS and STABLE preferred
  • Epic experience required
  • Experience with critical neonatal care, including ventilator management and bubble CPAP
  • Must be open to floating within the hospital as needed
  • Ability to provide at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, high-quality care to critically ill and convalescing neonates and infants in a high-acuity NICU
  • Monitor and manage complex neonatal conditions in a Level IV intensive care setting
  • Support family-centered care with compassion, professionalism, and clear communication
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, and other interdisciplinary team members
  • Care for patients requiring specialized support such as ventilators, HFOV, therapeutic hypothermia, and tracheostomy management
  • Document accurately in Epic and follow established clinical protocols
  • Adapt to floating assignments within the hospital when needed
  • Contribute to a teaching environment by supporting the education of students and residents when appropriate
