Travel Nursing Job Details

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160–$2,270
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks, ending February 15, 2027
- Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week
- Shift: Nights, approximately 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 2–3 patients per nurse
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Float Requirement: May float to other units within the health system as needed
NICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent NICU nursing experience
- Experience caring for neonates in a Level III or Level IV NICU preferred
- Current Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a valid compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
- Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Experience with Epic electronic health record documentation
- Strong neonatal clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to provide two professional references, including at least one supervisor, manager, director, or other formal leader
- Ability to complete required credentialing and fingerprinting promptly before the assignment start date
- Seasonal influenza vaccination is required; medical exemptions may be considered
NICU RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to premature and critically ill neonates, including infants born before 24–28 weeks gestation
- Monitor and manage neonatal respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, metabolic, and infectious conditions
- Care for neonates experiencing respiratory distress, glucose management concerns, or conditions requiring surgical or cardiac intervention
- Administer medications and therapies, including IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids, using established medication-safety procedures
- Manage ventilator settings and respiratory support, including AC, PC, SIMV, CPAP, BiPAP, and PEEP
- Perform arterial line management, central and implanted line care, and umbilical artery and umbilical vein catheter care
- Interpret and manage cardiovascular dysrhythmias within the neonatal population
- Provide bottle, breast, gavage, oral, nasogastric, and nasojejunal feedings as clinically appropriate
- Support neonatal abstinence syndrome interventions and maintain infection-control and isolation precautions
- Document accurately in Epic and communicate patient status using SBAR
- Collaborate with advanced practice providers, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, social services, interpretation services, and unit support staff
- Educate and support families while delivering compassionate, evidence-based neonatal care
