Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Level IV NICU position requiring vent and trach experience and an OH or compact RN license.

• Level IV NICU setting with a regional high acuity Fetal Care Center
• High volume of intubated and acute infants requiring specialized care
• Patient population includes Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Intraventricular Hemorrhage, Prematurity, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Necrotizing Enterocolitis, Tracheal Esophageal Fistula, Myelomeningocele, Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome, Gastroschisis, Omphalocele, Genetic Defects, Hydrocephalus, Renal Failure, Seizure Disorders, and Pulmonary Hypertension
• Uses specialized equipment including Nitric Oxide, Servo Ventilators, High Flow Nasal Cannula, RAM Cannula, Bubble CPAP, EVD, Shunts, G-tubes, Trachs, Giraffe Beds, Moog Feeding Pumps, Arterial Lines, Peritoneal Dialysis, Oscillators, and Bili Lights/Blankets
• Rotating 3x12-hour day and night shifts (7:00-19:30 / 19:00-7:30) with every other weekend required
• Epic charting system preferred
• Floating required within hospital, potentially to Liberty campus

Requirements

• Active RN license, OH or compact license required
• Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• Level IV NICU experience required
• Ventilator and Trach experience required
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty required
• Supervisor reference required within the past 2 years

Additional Information

• Provide high acuity nursing care to critically ill neonates with surgical, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and neurological conditions
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be considered local with local rates applying
• RTO requests cannot exceed 5 days total and must be submitted at time of consideration
• Previous employees of the facility are ineligible to reapply for 1 year from their termination date
• Candidates will be required to complete an additional background check and fingerprinting onsite on their first day, which could impact employment
